On Tax Day Winona State University chapter of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) raised awareness about the US income tax system by asking students to redistribute their GPA scores.

Many students support a progressive tax on wealth, but would such a policy when applied  applied to GPA, something they perceived as a direct result of their hard work. The Winona State YAL chapter hoped to highlight this inconsistency, arguing that redistributing wealth is similar to redistributing grades.

Throughout the day, a number of students approached the table located in the university commons and talked with members of the Winona State YAL.

Conservative students know that "crony capitalism" is not real capitalism. The relationship between large corporations and government, which often results in bureaucrats choosing winners and losers, prevents the free market from functioning properly. However, all too often students and young adults are unaware of the distinction between capitalism and crony capitalism and, thus, view the free market in a negative light.

Hamline University claims to promote a "diverse community" that is a "welcoming and inclusive environment for all." Yet, their actions seem to suggest otherwise.

According to former Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer, Hamline University rescinded their offer for him to teach a course at its business school because of his conservative views.

The university had offered Emmer a position as an adjunct professor, but then decided against hiring him after select faculty voiced opposition to Emmer teaching, due to concerns regarding his political beliefs.

The school newspaper quoted Professor David Schultz as saying that "the faculty was concerned for two major reasons, including whether the political positions Emmer holds were incompatible with the university's mission, specifically his stances on same-sex marriage."

November 10th is the birthday of the USMC and November 11th is Veterans Day.  In honor of these dates, many college's host an event to celebrate America's men and women in uniform.

Although Gustavus Adolphus College has prepared many servicemen and servicewomen for a career of service through its Army ROTC program, as well as by historically being one of 131 colleges which participated in the Navy's V-12 College Training Program during WWII, the College does not have a Veteran's Day Event planned.

Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow is a free-market environmental solutions group at the University of Minnesota.

Since they believe that it is possible to help the environment without hurting the economy, and that any policy or regulation by the federal government needs to respect the constitution, a lot of conservative and libertarian students are active in the group.

Che Guevara was a radical communist and mass murderer.  Thousands of men, women, and children died at his hands. Millions of others were forced into the iron fist of communist tyranny as a result of his "revolutionary" efforts throughout Latin America.

A friend of mine and I visited the OccupyMN rally for Halloween.  In honor of the holiday, we wanted to give the local occupiers free candy if they were willing to take a job application.

However, we spotted a member of the Communist Party USA handing out communist propaganda and holding a Soviet flag ...so we went over to say hello!

And then it got interesting! ...Really fast!

Abortion isn't just about the numbers.

Abortion is a disgusting evil that plagues America.

Though two employees of an abortion clinic just plead guilty to murder for their work at an abortion clinic, it was too little too late for the innocent children killed by these workers.

Thankfully there are student groups on college campuses that exist to fight back against atrocities like this one by working to stop abortion and promote respect for life at all stages.
